The short version:
I’m an editor, photographer and small business fan based in London.
The long version:
I’m Editorial Director at Mailchimp. My role is to tell engaging, thought-provoking stories about the world's most inspiring businesses and marketers.
For 6 years, I worked as Editor & Editorial Director of Courier, the global magazine for stories of modern business. Courier produced a print mag, books, films, podcasts, events and a weekly newsletter with 2m+ subscribers—all about inspiring and celebrating small business owners. Courier was acquired by Mailchimp in 2020.
I was previously at Monocle, where I built, produced and hosted one of the podcast industry’s earliest (best?) business shows, The Entrepreneurs, and spent years reporting stories from around the world.
I write two newsletters: For Starters, a weekly briefing for the next generation of small business owners. And Desire Paths, a much-less-frequently published deep-dive with people who have had wild life journeys.
I’m a passionate street photographer and spend my free time on the streets with my Leica Q3. I’ve joined photo workshops with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb in Oaxaca, Richard Kalvar in Paris, and Harry Gruyaert in Athens. I’m working on a photo book about Santa Monica Pier.
I was raised in New York and have lived in London since 2010 (with a recent 18-month diversion in California).
You can read interviews with me here (on my media diet), here (on things I like), and here (it’s in French).
